Mediumship & Mythos:
A Journey of Animism and Creative Ritual in the Greek Isles
In the midst of the jewel-bright Aegean Sea, where the veil between the ancient world and the present moment is thin, we gather on the island of Paros to reclaim the time-honored craft of mediumship…
In the context of our retreat, mediumship means giving voice to the wisdom of divine beings, nature spirits, personal guides, and ancestral spirits and allowing their blessing power to flow into our daily reality. Through a structured approach—including safe protocols, boundary setting, and refining our sensitivity and awareness—we build reliable pathways for receiving profound insights. To ground these transmissions, we employ “creative rituals,” utilizing journaling and art-making to concretize the ethereal into clear, lucid, and tangible forms. This immersive retreat is designed for artists, healers, shamanic practitioners, or anyone wishing to learn about building beneficial, sovereign relationships that bridge the mundane and spirit worlds. All experience levels are welcome. Space will be limited to curate an intimate experience.
Enrich your soul and refine your craft in the cradle of Aegean. By journey’s end, you’ll have developed a grounded, personal spiritual practice that honors both the spirits of the land and the creative fire within.
Together we will:
Set the Oracular Structure: Cultivate desirable settings for successful reception of the Otherworld and define intentions to ensure respectful interactions with ease.
Deepen Divine Relationships: Engage in numinous rituals to access a wide array of knowledge and inspiration. Meet with personal allies and deities, drawing on their immense wisdom to increase your personal resilience.
Bridge Myth & Contemporary Practice: Explore the ancient lore of spirit communion, history of Greek deities including Persephone and the Nymphs, and relate it to the needs of our modern world.
Concretize the Craft: Use art-making and writing to ground spiritual insights, turning ephemeral impressions into life-enhancing personal resources.
Refine the Voice: Develop the skill of articulating your experience with clarity whether through spoken word, writing, or creative expression.
Day Trips: Practice connecting to spirit through on-site explorations on Paros and Naxos. Weather permitting, sites will include wild groves/meadows/coves, ancient temple ruins, and archaeological museums.
Logistics: Our five day retreat begins on June 8th and concludes on June 12th, 2026. We will meet each day from 10AM to 3PM at our home base in the charming and ancient village of Paroikia, Paros (continuously inhabited since 4500 BCE).
Tuition: $1200. This includes teachers’ salaries, tickets and transportation to sites and museums, and a final feast together. Housing, all other meals, and transportation to Paros is not included.
