Mytho-Somatic Creativity Coaching
Connect to your creativity and vitality with 1:1 coaching utilizing trauma-informed somatic practices, Jungian psychological techniques, and artistic expression.
Our Process
In a safe space curated for your needs, find freedom in your body, creative life, and relationships with self & others and gently work through any obstacles that may be present.
Somatic Practices
Feeling sensations and emotions is vital for fulfillment, but it can be overwhelming or make us feel numb. Learn gentle somatic exercises to experience feeling with safety and enjoyment.
Archetypal Imagination
The images that inspire us are archetypal — emerging from the soul. Become familiar with the ones that hold meaning for you and incorporate them into your life on a creative and embodied level.
One on One Attention
Your creativity is a valuable and trustworthy expression of who you are, but we can lose sight of this. When another person mirrors us, it’s a transformative experience of being seen and appreciated for who we are that rewires our nervous system.
Creative Expression
Learn the rhythm of your own cycles and experience the peace of working with this flow, instead of against it.

This work is for anyone wishing to feel vitality and meaning in life and access their creativity with more ease.
Keziah has worked with diverse clients but specializes in artists of all mediums, therapists, survivors of endometriosis and other chronic illnesses/surgeries, myth and goddess enthusiasts, and women on a path of feminine healing.
This work helps you get “unstuck” when you are disconnected from yourself, your body, your inspiration, or your creative practice.

Getting Un-Stuck: Somatic work can help us move from burnout, perfectionism, dissociation, lack of boundaries, relationship difficulties, and feelings of unworthiness to a more energized, centered, peaceful, expressive, courageous, and self-loving state.
Sustainable Change: Through somatic practices, we physiologically ground our desires, ensuring that we can sustain the creative process from dream to manifestation.
Shame-flammation: Somatic work is a key ingredient in addressing chronic diseases (like endometriosis) involving hormone imbalance, inflammation, and shame because it addresses relational aspect of the nervous system. Learn more in “What is shame-flammation?”
Feminine Initiations: A mytho-somatic approach understands that our cycles are initiations, not disorders. With physiological knowledge, interpersonal support, and compassionate embodiment, we can experience challenges as meaningful, move through them, and emerge with wisdom. This perspective uproots the idea that experiencing life as a woman is “wrong” and empowers us to be ourselves and accessing the gifts of our lived experience.

Somatic work consists of practices that reunite us with our embodied experience.
By co-regulating with a trusted guide and re-introduce sensation in digestible doses, we slowly re-learning that embodiment is safe. This rewires our nervous system so that we are no longer stuck in chronic stress responses. We feel better consistently, express ourselves with ease, and make choices that are aligned with our wellbeing.
Founded on neurobiology, somatic exercises are conducted by a trained somatic practitioner and may include guided and self-paced movement, speaking, or touch that feels grounding rather than overwhelming. Progress is made via trust, not pushing.
In a mytho-somatic approach, we include psychological techniques that allow us to access mythic material, like Active Imagination. Active Imagination is a technique developed by the psychologist Carl Jung which resembles shamanic journeying and other older practices. It is a dialogue with different parts of our psyche that hold important messages for us. The myths you’re drawn to, wisdom from your Active Imaginations, and your somatic experiences provide a roadmap for our sessions and your creative life.

By lowering cortisol and establishing safety in relationship, somatics helps address inflammation, hormone disruption, and digestive issues caused by stress and shame. How?
The female nervous system is regulated by socially-responsive hormones (like estrogen and oxytocin), meaning our physiology responds to social interactions. This has pros —like naturally organizing around mutual wellbeing or getting a big hit of our primary nervous system regulator, oxytocin, when we give and receive — and cons — like sensitivity to harmful social messages. So if we’ve internalized self-directed negativity (shame), this triggers a stress response (cortisol and immune system activation). However, unlike an acute external threat, shame can’t be outrun and resolved, so we are stuck in a stress response that is never completed.
This means means 1) our cortisol levels remain high and disrupt our cyclical nervous-system-regulating hormones like progesterone and oxytocin 2) our alarmed immune system attacks the only tissue it can find — our own healthy tissue — causing inflammation (women make up 80% of autoimmune patients) AND 3) our “rest and digest” nervous system is shut down meaning we can’t properly digest or eliminate food (or hormones like estrogen, furthering hormone imbalance). Veronica Rottman calls this shame-flammation.
When we do somatic work with a caring practitioner, the relationship teaches us that it is safe to be seen and express our true selves — we un-learn shame. This resolves the stress response, allowing our healthy sex hormones to regulate our nervous system again, returning all body systems to homeostasis.

This work is not therapy. The focus of these sessions is your desire for embodied creativity, not your trauma. Keziah’s training is trauma-informed, meaning when difficult or traumatic sensations arise, we will use a myriad of techniques to return to a place of safety. This baseline of embodied safety is the prerequisite to digest any experiences, good or bad. Trauma resolution (i.e. focusing on a traumatic event to resolving overwhelm) is beyond Keziah’s scope of practice. If you are experiencing debilitating psychological or physical symptoms, seek appropriate care for a licensed therapist.
Keziah reserves the right at any point to refer a client to a therapist and terminate sessions. In this event, clients will be refunded for any unused sessions.
